Prologue

The sound of temple bells echoed faintly in the background, blending with the muffled cries in her heart.

Kashvi sat still in the pavilion, her eyes glistening with unshed tears - a storm of anger and helplessness swirling inside them.

Her trembling lips moved silently, whispering only one prayer.

"Hey Mahadev... mujhe bacha lijiye. Please... mujhe is shaitan se bacha lijiye."

Beside her, the man who was supposed to be her groom sat with a victorious smirk curving his lips, as if he had already conquered everything he ever wanted.

The priest's voice filled the air, sacred and heavy.

"Ab, kanya ke pita aage aa jaiye

kanyadan... ke liye , aur kanya ka hath varr ke hatho me de."

Her father stepped forward, eyes moist, hands shaking. He reached out to place Kashvi's hand in the man's,

And then,

A deafening blast shook the earth.

The pavilion trembled.

Screams erupted.

Smoke swallowed the air, and chaos painted the holy moment in terror.

The explosion came from outside - cars were flung into the air, flames licking the sky. Panic spread like wildfire.

Through that thick cloud of smoke, a dark silhouette emerged.

Tall. Commanding. A shadow cut from danger itself.

A rifle rested against his shoulder, his grip steady and unapologetic.

Each step he took made the ground seem to bow before him.

His head tilted slightly - not in fear, but with an unsettling calm.

And as he walked closer, the firelight caught the hint of a smirk on his lips...

the kind that warned - the devil had arrived.

Dressed entirely in black, he looks like the god of death. He slowly advances towards the wedding pavilion and comes to a standstill.

His gaze first falls on Kashvi. Seeing the tears in her eyes, he looks directly at her as if he can see into her soul. Then, with a calm, fluid motion, he removes his shades and casually points his rifle straight at the groom, a smirk playing on his lips.

He clicks his tongue and says, "Tsk. Tsk... Tsk... Getting married without even inviting me?"

The groom, enraged, rises to his feet and shouts, "How dare you come here and do this! I won't let you get away with this!"

The sentence cut off with a wet thud. Atharv fired without hesitation, the shot finding the man's leg. a strangled scream cutting through the smoke. For a moment the world narrowed to the metallic smell of blood and the distant ring of bells gone wrong.

The groom collapses with a cry of pain. Kashvi instinctively covers her ears in shock.

Atharv men's immediately steps forward, shoves the injured groom aside, and drags him out of the way. Then, Atharv says coldly, "They were getting married without an invitation."

He then chuckles darkly and adds, "But how will the wedding happen without a groom now? Let me help." No sooner had he said this, he moves to stand right beside Kashvi.

He turns to the petrified priest and commands, "mantra shuru karo."

There are stories written by choice, and then there are those carved by destiny.

This is one such tale - of love, betrayal, secrets, and vengeance.

A tale where two hearts are bound long before they even learn what love truly means.

Kashvi Singh Raivat, a girl whose heart beats for someone she believes is hers to love. Sweet, kind, humble . untouched by the cruelty of the world that waits for her. She believes in fairytales, in goodness, in happy endings. What she doesn't know is that destiny has already inked her name beside someone else's - someone whose world runs on blood, power, and control.

Atharv Singh Sidawat - the name that commands fear, the man who owns darkness like it's his second skin. The head of Obsidian Reign Syndicate, ruthless to the world, but broken within. His heart? Lost - stolen long ago by the girl who never even knew she held it. He breathes in chaos, yet the only peace he has ever known comes with her name.

Two souls walking on opposite ends of light and shadow, unaware that fate has already tied their paths together. For some, destiny brings love. For others, destruction. But for them... it brings both.

Because love doesn't always heal - sometimes, it burns, scars, and destroys everything that stands in its way.

This is the story of two lives, two hearts, and one destiny - that will either unite them forever... or ruin them beyond repair.
